Janine Brauer
Janine Brauer has been studying Chinese martial arts under the UK Shaolin for 11 years. Janine’s training focuses on traditional and modern Kung Fu Forms and Weapons. Her specialism is Shaolin traditional hand forms, Shaolin Snake and traditional Kung Fu weapons, in particular Fan and Fochen (= Horsetail). Janine’s current focus continues to develop all aspects of traditional Kung Fu practices by applying traditional and innovative ideas of physical activities and philosophy.
Janine has been teaching the Shaolin Small Dragons classes for 3 years now and has been performing regularly at Kung Fu demonstrations, shows, and events; including Kung Fu stage shows, and in a Lion Dance Troupe.
Janine has undertaken a number of excursions to China to learn more about Chinese martial arts and culture. During such trips, Janine trained on a full time basis with Shaolin Temple Masters, and visited some of China’s most significant historical sites. These experiences influenced Janine’s goal in developing her Kung Fu practices, and progress new ways to explore Chinese culture.
Janine is also a trustee of the UK Shaolin. She is greatly involved in the development of growing and sharing the UK Shaolin’s values and achieving set goals.
